Van Hire - A Size Guide
13-05-2014
Here at 7 Ways Rental, we have a variety of different vans available for you to hire but which one is right for you?
Our fleet comes in a range of different shapes, sizes, and prices.
Without proper planning and research, you may end up with a vehicle that is too big or too small for your needs, causing you to either end up paying too much or making unnecessary multiple trips.
To make sure you select the perfect van for your needs we have put together a quick guide to help make your decision a bit easier.
Mini Van
A mini van is perfect for small, one off trips.
Efficient and compact, a mini van is a great solution if you aren’t planning on carrying a large load.
Optimal for moving kids to and from university or even just doing a weekend car boot sale.
We suggest the deceptively spacious Renault Kangoo – available to hire for just £19.86 a day.
Small Van
A short wheel base van is suited to most small jobs.
These vans will be ideal if you are moving out of a flat or apartment, making an Ikea trip or simply looking to clear out your garage. These vans offer a usefully sized load compartment while not being much bigger than a large car in size. They will comfortably fit smaller items of furniture, washing machines, or boxes of goods.
If this sounds like the right size for you then consider the FordTransit SWB (or similar).
Medium Van
Doing a DIY house move? A medium wheel base van makes a brilliant companion.
Great if you are doing a smaller house move and looking for an economical van that’s easy to drive.
The Ford Transit MWB (or similar) is a good example of a medium van 7 Ways offer.
Large Van
A large van will offer you a high roof and plenty of space.
Driving a LWB van shouldn’t prove to be too much of a problem for an experienced driver, but caution should be taken going on faster roads and around bends.
Useful if you are dealing with a particularly large/long load.
You can rent a Ford Transit LWB with us for just £35 a day!
Luton Van
The Luton is the biggest vehicle we offer at 7 Ways Rental.
This van is ideal for moving house and comes with useful features such as a tail lift.
The king of small house removals, the Luton Box is the only way to transport big boxes and bulky items of furniture.
It’s advisable to plan your journey well in advance when driving a Luton, as parking can be made tricky due to its width and height.
So now you’ve got to know our fleet a bit better, give us a call to find out which vans are available. We cover multiple locations across Stockport and South Manchester so get in touch today!
