Easter holidays – Great days out in Manchester with the kids

The Easter holidays are rapidly approaching and it’s a time when families and friends get together to enjoy a day out. Here are just a few of the top attractions that Manchester has to offer:-
The CBBC Tour at MediaCityUK (ages 6-11) -This is an exciting and interactive day out where children get to see behind the scenes at CBBC and have the chance to take part in their own television production. MediaCityUK is the home of CBBC, where programmes such as Blue Peter and Newsround are made.
Museum of Science and Industry (all ages) -The whole family will enjoy MOSI and it is free! The museum tells the story of Manchester's scientific and industrial past, present and future. There are five large buildings packed with exciting galleries, exhibitions and daily events.
Imperial War Museum North (all ages)- this free to visit museum presents a fascinating timeline of 20th century conflict, there are lots of interactive displays which help to provide an understanding of modern war and wartime experiences.
Chill Factore (all ages)- this indoor Snow Park is the perfect destination for families looking for a good day out with something to entertain everyone, from whizzing downhill on sledges or snow tubes, or enjoying the experience of the ice luge slide. There is a 12 metre climbing wall to tackle in the Alpine village. And younger children will have lots of fun exploring the magical ‘Mini Moose Land’ snow play area.
National Cycling Centre (older children and adults) - this is Britain’s first indoor Olympic cycling track with a programme of activities that caters for all ages and skill levels. They have the only permanent indoor BMX track in the UK and a Mountain Bike trail, plus a Skills Zone.
Aerial Extreme Manchester (older children and adults) - this is a high ropes adventure course involving a series of challenging obstacles set at varying heights above the ground. The obstacles include rope bridges, scramble nets, zip wires, swinging logs and balance beams, plus many more!
