Vehicle Hire Requirements

Before you can drive your vehicle you will need to make sure that you are aware of what we need - take a moment to read what we will need from you.

Driving Licence Changes

Due to changes introduced by the government a few years ago you no longer have to keep the paper part of your driving license. We therefore require you to log in to www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence and make your driving licence available for us to see prior to your hire start. (But only valid 21 days before your hire start time.)

Q. What Identification will I need to bring with me?

A. You will need to bring with you your Photo Card Driving Licence and your unique check code along with an original utility bill, bank or credit card statement (dated within the last 3 months) or mortgage statement, council tax bill (dated within the last 12 months) and the credit/debit card you are paying with.

If your Driving licence is not at the same address as your utility bill etc. we can still hire to you but we will need to see 2 utility bills.

Q. What happens if all my bills are online?
A. You are welcome to login to your account on one of our computers and download a statement or invoice. We are very sorry but down to our insurance companies stipulations we are only permitted to accept official headed documents.
Q. What we cannot accept as proof of address?
A. Mobile phone bill, a letter from a friend, doctor, catalogue company, insurance company or DVLA etc. Please note ALL proof of address must be originals, we can not accept any computer downloads.
Q. How long will I have to have held a FULL driving licence for?
A. Our standard hire terms are that you have held your full driving license for a minimum of 2 years.
Q. I have some endorsements on my driving licence, can I still hire?
A. Yes, 2 speeding convictions are usually accepted but should you have any other driving convictions, irrelevant of how long ago, you should check with 7 Ways Rental.com Ltd before booking.
Q. I have had an accident or claim within the last 5 years, what should I do?
A. You will need to check with 7 Ways Rental prior to collecting your hire vehicle regardless of blame.
Q. What happens with regards to insurance?
A. Each driver will need to sign a declaration that they are fit and able to drive and that they do not suffer from any medical condition.

If in any doubt, please contact us on 0161 440 0009. Please note that once a booking is made we will require 48 hours notice should you wish to change, amend or cancel your booking. After this time you may still be charged for the hire. Please note that should you be unable to fulfill your booking in any way, you may still be charged.
